Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time
by The Faithful Disciple
GROW AS A DISCIPLE | PRAY, STUDY, ENGAGE, SERVERead More
This week, we are introducing Grow+Go, content designed to help our parishioners understand what it means to be an evangelizing disciple of Christ. Using the Sunday Scriptures as the basis for reflection, Grow+Go offers insight into how we can all more fully GROW as disciples and the GO evangelize, fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission to “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) The concept behind the weekly series is to make discipleship and evangelization simple, concrete and relatable. Public Celebration of Mass: We will return to our normal Weekend Mass schedule this weekend (May 30-31). Both churches have been cleaned. The hymnals have been removed from the pews and music for each Mass will be printed on a separate piece of paper that can be disposed of after each Mass. For Masses at St. Francis we will be using one side of the church for each Mass (right side for Saturday evening/left side for Sunday morning). This will enable us to avoid cleaning the entire church between Masses. Please maintain an appropriate distance from individuals who are not members of your immediate family. Hopefully this will work out; if not, we will make changes the following week. The usual offertory collection will not be taken up. A box will be placed in the center aisle. Please place your offering in the box. Many thanks for your cooperation in these matters. We hope to see all you next weekend.
Confessions: Beginning Saturday (May 30th) Father will be available for the Sacrament of Confession at the usual time of Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:30am.
Hall Rentals: We have received a directive from the Diocese regarding the rental of parish social halls. Quite simply, until further notice we are not permitted to rent our parish halls. We are also prohibited from using our parish halls for parish social gatherings. As this is modified, we will keep you informed.Read More
